SPC flooring is both environmentally friendly and practical. Its core advantages are waterproof and wear-resistant, easy to install, and environmentally friendly and formaldehyde-free. However, it has limitations such as hard feel and sensitive to thermal expansion and contraction.
Advantages
Environmentally friendly and formaldehyde-free : It uses stone powder and PVC for high-temperature extrusion molding. No glue is used in the production process, and the formaldehyde emission is close to zero.
Waterproof and moisture-proof : The full-material waterproof structure is suitable for humid areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, and it will not deform after long-term immersion.
Super wear-resistant : The surface UV coating has a wear resistance level of AC3-AC5, and the service life of public spaces can reach 10-50 years. Convenient installation : It adopts lock-type splicing and can be directly laid on tiles or cement floors. The manual installation cost is about 12-15 RMB/㎡. Multi-functional adaptation : The fire protection level reaches B1, which meets the fire protection requirements of public places. The surface is anti-slip and the friction coefficient is higher when it comes into contact with water.
Disadvantages
Lack of foot comfort: high hardness (Shore hardness ≥ 70), long-term standing is prone to fatigue, and a silent pad needs to be installed to improve comfort.
Sensitive to thermal expansion and contraction: Every 10°C change in temperature will cause 0.5-1mm/m expansion and contraction, and an 8-10mm expansion joint needs to be reserved for installation.
Strict construction requirements:
The flatness of the ground must be ≤3mm/2m, otherwise the lock is prone to breakage.
The 4mm thin plate is obviously brittle, and it is recommended to choose a product with a thickness of ≥5mm.
Surface damage resistance limitations:
Cigarette butts will leave burn marks after contact for 3 seconds (home decoration products have improved this defect).
The Mohs hardness is only 2-3, and sharp objects are prone to scratches.
Suggestions
Applicable scenarios: renovation of fine-decorated houses, laying of floor heating rooms, commercial spaces (hospitals/shopping malls), and other occasions that require quick installation and waterproofing.
Avoid scenarios: open-air areas, direct contact with electric floor heating, and ultra-high temperature (>40℃) environments.
Maintenance points of SPC Flooring Tiles: daily wet mopping and cleaning, waxing and maintenance every 18 months, and avoid using strong acidic and alkaline detergents.
